My experience at Woodmong Crossing Apartments
Review Date: 6/16/2004 Reviewer: Ecan
I have been a tenant at the Woodmont Crossing Apartment Community for almost a year. It has been a bitter-sweet experience for me. They offer amenities such as fully equipped walk-in kitchens, spacious bedrooms with walk-in closets, and a full sized washer and dryer in each apartment home. In addition, it is strategically located in close proximity to all major highways including I-295, I-395, I-495, and the Suitland Parkway. They've had everything in place to make this an enjoyable living environment, with the exception of the people--both the residence and management. Some of the tenants refuse to abide by the policies established in the lease agreement, which has caused its demise. They loiter, curse, destroy the property and personal possesions of others, and have adversely impacted the access of the law-abiding residents to use of community resources such as the pool, sundeck, and the security of a gated community. Having experienced several shifts in management during the time I've been here, I can also verbally attest to the unprofessionalism of the management team. However, inasmuch as the current Community Manager has a vision to improve this community, which is evidenced in her patrolling the property and enforcing parking and other community regulations, I feel that Woodmont Crossing is on an upward spiral. It would be a wonderful place to live, if the residents would respect themselves, their neighbors, and their community. On a scale of 1 to 6, I rate them a 3. They are not bad off, but there is still significant areas for improvement. |
