Apartment Review for Winston House Apartments - Washington, DC

When we originally looked at this building I asked the manager, if there were a lot of students (due to its proximity to GW) and he told me that the majority or residents were young professionals and graduate students. This was not true at all. I would say that the majority of the residents in this building are GW Undergrads and very inconsiderate neighbors. I feel like I am living in a dorm, and a noisy one at that. People are constantly talking loudly, laughing, and occasionally yelling and screaming in the hall. This behavior continues late into the night, especially on the weekends. I have complained twice and nothing has been done about it. As a quite young professional myself, this aspect is very annoying. Another issue has been parking. The alley behind the building is often blocked with service vehicles and construction workers trucks and cars, making it very dificult to get to the garage. On occasion I have had to call the service trucks company so that they will call their employee to move the truck. However, the apartments are nice and the staff is helpful. Whenever we have put in a service request the problem has been taken care of quickly.
