Apartment Review
The Savoy

The Savoy apartment building is a 1960s building made of yellow brick and aging rapdily. The hallways are decorated with green carpet and a brownish/yellow wallpaper that makes the building feel very unfriendly and almost sickly. The 1 bedroom that I lived in was very spacious and quite nice, suprisingly so based upon the exterior and the hallways. Hard wood tile floors run through the apartment. The kitchen was clean and relatively modern as was the kitchen. The bedroom was large enough to hold two full-size beds, two large desks and two nightstands very comfortably. There is also ample closet space. The hidden charm of the apartment is the 25 foot balcony that runs the length of the apartment. While the views are not spectacular, there was always sun and great circulation. The drawbacks of the building include: difficult/ non responsive building manager, skeptical security (although there is a doorman), poor laundry facilities and constant brake downs.
