Apartment Review for The Abby - Washington, DC

I lived on the top floor of the Abby for about a year and it was NOT the most pleasant experience I've had. It's my understanding that top floor apartments have a bad hot water pressure problem, which means that you are only getting a trickle of water in the morning when people are showering (happened to me, a lot). The change in management hasn't made things easier- in my opinion, the previous live-in manager was much better. Also, for a while, the front door would often be broken, letting anyone in. Some residents are smokers and the smoke seeps through the walls and can fill apartments. While the apartments are roomy and charming, they are not worth the inconveniences. In addition, I believe that one apartment ceiling may have flooded during the heavy rain storms a few months ago. Also, good luck getting your deposit back when you move out. There are better places up and down Wisconsin.
