Apartment Review for Parkhill Apartments - Washington, DC

I've been at the Park Hill Apts for a year from August 2003 to September 2004. I just loved this place! In Paris, efficiencies or one bedrooms are pretty small and expensive, so I was surprised to see that for $800-1000, you could get a very large apartment. A very convenient location -near public transportation; If you need to shop, Columbia Road & Mount Pleasant Street are pretty close, too. About the apartment and its features: there's no A/C but you can buy one or you can get even a fan for a cheap price. Laundry is open on weekdays and weekends. I remind there was some hispanic music on mornings which is great if you like to hear music anyway but can be annoying when you really need to sleep! Roaches are a big problem but it's ok if it's done every month. Don't forget to write down your name on the register. I've been considering staying at the Park Hill but I really had to move to another city. But there's no doubt I would have stayed here otherwise. I really wanted to. I forgot to say that the staff is very helpful & friendly, and here 24 hours a day. They know all about your exits and when you come home, of course, but this is part of the deal if you need safety.
