Apartment Review
Not bad, but certainly not great!

The staff is friendly here, even though there's really only two of them, the building manager and the maintenance guy. The cost to rent here is a little too high for what we're getting. All utilities are included in the rent, however, during the summer months(Jun-Sept) we're required to pay an extra fee to run a window airconditioner. The AC must be provided by the tenant. This fee is usually from $50-$70 a month, depending on the btu's of your ac. The appliances(fridge, stove, etc) aren't in great condition and are almost too small to be functional. They have hired pest control to come every other week. Little good it's done though. In the past year, I've caught almost 20 mice plus more roaches, spiders etc. than I wish to remember. On a good note though, they just rennovated the elevator. Also the grounds are very well maintained. I don't particularly enjoy waking up to the sounds of lawn mowers and other gardening tools next to my window at 8 or 9 in the morning though. I would prefer to move somewhere where I can get more for the money I'm paying, but I've decided that I'm paying for the convenience of this location more than anything else. This building is perfectly situated between Georgia Ave. metro station and a Safeway grocery store. There's also a Wendy's less than a block away, as well as other little specialty shops. Being right on major bus lines is a plus too. All in all, I would say move here if you need convenience but not if you need luxury. |
