Apartment Review for Onyx On First - Washington, DC

THE BAD: Leaking windows, a "secure" parking garage door that has been broken in the open position for over a week, plus the garage door would not open one Saturday and tenants couldn't get their cars car out of the garage for over 3-hours, NO HOT WATER for a total of 4 days that I've lived here, heat not working for several days, elevators you share with dogs that smell, work out equipment that breaks and no one fixes it, last minute warnings that we MUST move our cars out of the garage for pressure washing, management allowing non-residents to park in our garage, have parties on our roof, and occupy our entertainment room, attitude from the leasing folks every time you report a problem, overcharged for water and gas which management admits, but won't take the time to fix it, trash shoot is always backed up with trash, certain management staff would rather look you in the eye and lie than to tell you the truth about when problems will be fixed. THE GOOD: Close to metro, close to Nat's stadium, view on roof is nice, easy access to 395/295, free coffee and continental breakfast, quiet at night, contemporary style apartments, reasonable rent when I moved in.
