Apartment Review
Old, Run-Down Building
Review Date: 3/26/2004 Reviewer: Anonymous
This is an old apartment building that hasn't had many improvements - at all. It is not well-insulated and it is located across the street from a fire station (so you can imagine the noise!). This past summer, there were high-rise buildings going up on either side of this apartment building, so the construction noise magnified the poor insulation. The first unit I moved into had a broken air conditioner...they weren't able to fix it, so I had to move everything 4 floors to another unit. This unit had a window that leaked and made the curtains wet everytime it rained. Our sinks constantly clogged... the pool on the roof was constantly invaded by small children - not enjoyable, and there are no chairs to sit in on the roof!!! so make sure you bring your own if you live here. The elevators are old and slow...and the parking costs $125/month for their garage under the building. The carpeting in the halls smells, too...there are no windows in the hallways so they just have stale air in them. Sign a lease at your own risk!!! Enjoy! |
