Apartment Review for Lencshire House - Washington, DC

I like the Lenschire. It is affordable, clean, and a really nice place to stay. The buses come right out front. I have walked to Bethesda, Georgetown, the National Mall, Arlington, the Zoo...everywhere from there. The National Cathedral is such a beautiful bldg that is right across the street-I love going to Bishop's Gardens at the Cathedral! The front lobby has coffee and cookies in the morning and plenty of nice holiday parties.All utilities are included which in this economic time is just great! The laundry machines are in the basement-they are ok-not great. Parking indoors is a wonderful plus-but you pay extra if you do. Stewart-the building manager-gets things done fast. There are no issues there because they are handled fast. Mrs. Lofton is a professional manager and runs the place nicely. Her entire staff is supportive. I think Mrs. Lofton is working on a book as well. Lenschire is a good place to stay. There is a lady on my floor that has been in the bldg since 1955! I guess I will stay for awhile too. Oh..Giant is in the next block, Starbucks, Cafe Deluxe has the best brownie with ice cream and rasberries. Cantina was visited by both President Bushs and the food is awesome. Z-Burger is not far up and serves typical American food with homemade shakes. The library is not far up as well. Best Buy and metro and up the street. So the areaa is nice. My bldg faces the wall of another bldg so that is not so fun. Get a unit facing the side street or back if you can. It is not so bad though because I can still see the Cathedral from the side. The apts are built to take sound so you dont hear your neighbors.So overall this is a really nice place to stay. I love the Lenschire. A plus plus from me.
