Apartment Review for Gables At Woodley Park - Washington, DC

I have been living here since Jan 2008. Don't have much to complain about the apartment itself, besides the fact that they are outrageously expensive. However, the management team. What a nightmare! The management team has been changed at least 3 times in the past 9 months. Some of them are nice, but didn't know what they are doing; Others are just pure rude!!!! Ask them one thing, I have never got a straight answer. Now, since I have to relocate to another city because of job requirement. They want me to pay early termination fee equivalent to one month rent. The funny thing is when I moved in, the rental manager then told me the $500 move-in fee included a flexible option: as long as I gave them 30 day notice, I don't have to pay anything extra. The lease has no term of termination fee either. As clear as this, the current rental manager still threatened to hand it over to collection. I am 100% sure they have no ground to charge me anything. But still, it is so annoying. Not only they have never been helpful in any respect, they have to add extra stress when I am moving across states. Be careful if you are thinking about living here.
