Apartment Review for Fort Totten Station - Washington, DC

I moved here on short notice due to an employment relocation. At first sight, this place has it together. They take you through a wonderful tour and show you the highlights. I moved into the newest building, only up a month. Brand new apartment. One month in, water burst in hot water room. Called the after hours emergency number, only to be told by the man who answered that he wasn't on duty, gave me another # to another guy who also said not on duty, but didn't know who was. After some words exchange, he agrees to come out. He temporarily repaired and from there it was a 3 day process to get plummers out to assist in fixing problem. I have had loud neighbors and requested by property management to report them each time in writing. Have done so, with no results. Stopped calling the after hours security that was reccomended because he doesn't answer so call the police. There have been 5 property managers since I have lived here, with all of them being unresponsive when asked for something. Especially when it came lease renewal time. I have been discussing leasing issues for 5 weeks now with no results with the current property manager, he is either not in, or I have to leave voicemail messages with never a response. Make this your last choice.
