Apartment Review for Fort Totten Station - Washington, DC

I moved to this building last year, and it's my first actual lease. However, I looked at about 15 locations around DC and MD prior to that, and about 10 when my lease came up for renewal. This place gave me a bit of a sticker shock, but in the end there really isn't a better deal out there. Being in the same parking lot as the metro is GREAT since I'm really lazy in terms of getting to work on time and it helps me sleep in--lol. The kitchen and bathroom is what sold me on my unit since all the places here come standard with new electric appliances, I HATE gas. There is a W/D in each unit, they are compact--but they get the job done. I rarely need repairs, but the guys on staff do a pretty good job of responding quickly. It may not be for those on a very tight budget, but in my case the staff was willing to work with me. Definitely worth looking into for those determined to live somewhere on their own, without having to move into a roach trap.
