Apartment Review
I have to be honest...
Review Date: 11/20/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
I found out about this website because I was asked to complete a survey by MGMT giving the building a positive review, with the promise of a giftcard. I came on this website with the intention to do just that, but after reading other negative comments, and realizing how true they were, I couldn't bring myself to lie to other people who may really be using this review to help find their new apartment. I know there were things I was promised, and never got. There is only one elevator in the whole building, and often times the elevator is put out of service for people moving in! How is that ever functional? What if someone can't make it up the stairs, or has a ton of groceries, which has happened to me on more than one occasion. There have been times when I've put in maintenance requests for things, and have been told they were fixed, when they clearly were not. I agree with someone's review about the bathroom fan noise. It is a loud, humming, roar, and I've had to plug in a seperate lamp, just to avoid disturbing my neighbors in the morning. Often times I hear the person above me flushing their toilet. The staff are not very professional, and often you have to follow-up with them many times in order to get a maintenance problem or complaint resolved. The complex often advertises low rates just to draw you in, but then admits that they are not honoring these rent prices, and it's simply to attract tenants. The pluses of this complex is that the cleaning staff are very friendly, and are always doing their job well. Additionally, although the neighborhood could be a little better, there is often patrol cars parked right at the metro station, which makes me feel safe to walk around the building. Living directly across the metro is definitely a plus. Above it all, if you have no maintenance issues, this place is ok to live, but you are really paying for the proximity to the metro station. |
