Apartment Review for Carmel Plaza - Washington, DC

When I first move to DC i rented an apt at Carmel plaza bc it seem affordable and THOUGHT (to my unfortune) it was well located.......street is known area for prostitutes (male prostitutes also!) and drugs, building is built over highway so you can feel building shake constantly ... my husband got robbed at gun point in DAY light half a block from the building... coming from work one day the building was blocked by police and couldnt enter building......police informed that somebody got shot a badly right in front of the building! Management is plane rude and incompetnet witth attitude and no willingness to help never got my mail forwarded as promised; there is simply no parking and if you do find a spot is max two hours and have to feed meter, no other parking avilable......do i need to continue?? And all this happened in the course of one month!! after which of course I moved!!! Horrible place to live
