Sad and busted
Review Date: 2/21/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
The residents range from nosy old people to drug dealers, the front door has been continuously broken for years and usually won't lock itself (management has put up signs essentially blaming the residents and have taken no further steps to fix it), the building is literally sinking into the ground, so there is not a flat surface or right angle to be found and you can count on cracks in the walls if you stay long enough. 12th Street is very noisy and dirty, with ambulance and police traffic 24 hours. Management is indifferent or hostile to resident issues, with broken appliances being ignored for weeks and if you press the issue, they try to figure out a way to blame you for the appliance breaking. All the appliances and fixtures are the absolute cheapest that can be purchased, so count on regular breakdowns. The windows are so cheap and thin, you won't be able to keep the winter cold, or the summer heat, at bay with the puny in-wall heat pump provided. Management does not have a dedicated maintenance person, so there is never any telling who the person is they will send to fix, or where they are getting the people from. They do spend a lot of money having the grounds maintained, so it looks ok from the outside. 12th St is zoned commercial, so the city will not give you a parking sticker, so you can't park on the side streets, you have to park on 12th St, which means if you stay long enough, your car will get hit, due to the high traffic volume. About the only good thing I can say is I've never seen any pests inside the building. |
