Apartment Review for Barac Company - Washington, DC

My apartment is the most run down, dirtiest apartments you can find. I was trying to be cheap and save money to buy a car and moved into this slum area. The managemet company are slum lords who do not want to take responsibility for repairs. I do not have a fire alarm, which I have complained numerous times for, and this past winterstorm, the pipes had frozen and my kitchen sink overflowed twice. They did not offer to help clean the water up, and as a result, my carpet,(which I paid for was ruined) The Barac company does not have a 24 hour maintenance person so if your heat, air, refrigerator, etc. breaks down say on Friday afternoon, you'll have to wait until Moday to make a report of it and that does not gaurantee that it'll be fixed on that day. Please, Please, Please, if it is the last thing you do, do not rent from this management company(especially if you have young kids)You will regret it.
