Apartment Review for Barac Company - Washington, DC

The this company should be shut down. Drug dealers in the hallway and they say they prosecute loiters. Caretaker does nothing, halls filthy, trash in dumpers overflowing, don't change the light bulbs when they blow. If you call for repairs, forget it. They even had to nerve to tell me that I would be charged for the repair. I read them my lease and they quickly dropped that line. Noisy, tenants fighting, loud music. People sleeping in the hallway and on the stair. Caretaker doesn't care, call Barac nothing done. Water leaking, pest infested, electrical problems, and when you blow a fuse you have to go to caretake to get it turned back on. No screens in the windows and when I asked for screen, well I don't have them yet. I have taken pictures of the apartment and keep documentation of all maintenance calls and conversations, so when I leave I can get my $250 deposit back. Heard they try to keep that and blame you for the condition of the apartment.
