Apartment Review
Not bad for the price.

Having lived in the Huntington Apartments for nearly a year, I'm happy to say that I've had virtually no problems. I've never had a pest problem of any kind, maintenance has been largely unnecessary, and the building is relatively quiet. It's in a nice neighborhood (although a bit far from a Metro station) and the prices are reasonable. Some of the staff is very friendly; others are a bit more lazy. As for the apartment itself, it's about what you'd expect (quality-wise) for something of this price range in this area. Floors are made of pretty unaesthetic wood tiles, and the bathroom tiles are a cheap linoleum that seems to have been placed on top of older tiles. The walls and ceiling aren't spectacular, but a paintjob helps a bit. Overall, the building seems a bit old, and definitely lacks in terms of style. But for anyone on a tight budget, or looking to settle in for a short time while new to DC, the Huntington is definitely recommended. In sum, there is nothing special about this complex, but no unpleasant surprises, either.
