| When I first moved in, my rent was quite cheap--about $780 for a sizeable studio, including all utilities. By the time I left, I was paying $930. Not that big an increase over 4 years, but by the end it was no longer a deal.
While parking on the street, my car was broken into twice. I had two bikes stolen. Admittedly, this was early on, when the nbhd was a bit worse.
The area actually can be quite pretty at times, with lots of flowers and some nice trees. The landscaping is quite good. Unfortunately, just a few blocks away, there's trash everywhere, and while SW is improving, it's still a depressing concrete maze.
The elevators in the place are *constantly* malfunctioning. Along with the underpowered airconditioners, and the freeway noise, I think the place would be of value to someone who could afford to pay $800 or so for a studio.
But the management has increased prices enough, without making corresponding improvements, so that now I wouldn't recommend it. |
