In the kitchen, when I would use the toaster, blender, microwave or any appliance an electrical short would happen and the lights in the entire apt would go out. Maintenance said they were unable to repair the problem. So I used all the kitchen applicances in the living room. In the daytime during weekdays the water would be shut off without warning. I experienced this 6 times while I lived there for 1 year. For the most time I worked during the day so it may have happened more often. My security deposit was not returned to me because I gave 26 days notice instead of 30. I won against them in small claims court.
