After moving out, I was told that I would receive my security deposit within 45 days (this is a law). Around the 45th day, I called to find out the status of my deposit. I was told that it was sent out. I waited a full week and called back. The woman who deals with security deposits told me it was sent back beccause my new apartment number was missing. Three times I left my forwarding address with the property manager. Either he can't read or pure laziness must be the excuses for this type of service. I decided to drive to the main office to pick up the security deposit. Now I went out of my way to pick up the deposit becuase I was afraid that they would mess it up again. I called three times to let them know that I was coming. I told them that I would be there by 4:30 p.m. I arrived at the main office right as the lady was locking the door. I stood outside hoping to be let in because the security deposit lady was waiting for me. I tried to call and no one answered the phone. I drove one hour to get there and it took me three hours to get home. I can't believe that they would be so rude and not try to handle my busoiness. All they had to do was hand me a check. The Barac Employees only have a job becuase of their tenents. Why are we having to cater to them? Maybe they would receive better reviews if they knew how to make their customers (tenents) happy. The employees of Barac only think of themselves which is very sad. Here they were the ones who made the mistake and I am having to pay for it. I guess that is what you get when you try to help ignorant people. What a shame!!!!!
