| Although I agree with many of the reviews re: the management and customer service could certainly be much better - I have found ways of getting around their not being as professional as they COULD be. I am polite and requests I make are within reason.
I too experienced my bathroom ceiling cave in on me due to a leak from the apartment above me. It happened on a Friday so I had to wait until Monday to let them know and Tuesday they were out to fix the leak upstairs and finished my bathroom by Wednesday COB.
I also experienced a mouse in my apartment and IMMEDIATELY I called them that morning and by the next day a gentleman was sent to stick poison down and patch up a hole behind the stove from where it came from.
An instance arised where my refrigerator smelled bad after 2 weeks of cleaning and airing out, I made a request and let them know I had exhausted all of my options and that next day or two it was replaced.
Lastly, I was late on a rent payment and although the eviction notice came swiftly, their concern was "pay me." And I can understand that...it is DC!!!
Overall, the conditions could be much better and it just may be that I live in one of their better buildings...but that's because I made that decision and was prayerful. |
